Calrice Taylor passed away at the age of 93. Taylor had a long acting career that lasted for several decades and included movie, stage, and television. Her television career included playing Harriet on Sesame Street. Harriet was the grandmother of the Sesame Street character David. David was on the show from 1971 to 1989. Taylor’s character appeared in a recurring role on the show from 1977 to 1989.
Taylor also had a recurring role on the family sitcom The Cosby Show as Anna Huxtable. Anna Huxtable was the Heatcliff “Cliff” Huxtable’s mother on the show. Cliff was the Bill Cosby’s character on The Cosby Show.
Taylor can still be seen in re-runs of The Cosby Show.
