Carroll Spinney has been a part of the iconic children’s television sow Sesame Street since it began decades ago. Even though we may not recognize him on the street, most of America would recognize the Muppet he has voiced, Big Bird. I Am Big Bird is a documentary that want to show us the many behind the gigantic 6 year-old Muppet that has taught generations of children about being a friend, sharing our feelings and many other childhood things. In this documentary that was funded by a Kickstarter project we get to see more about the man behind the Muppet. In fact there is more Spinney’s career than just voicing Big Bird. He has also been the voice of Oscar the Grouch. He loves what he does and even the age of 81, he continues to voice Oscar the Grouch and Big Bird. The documentary, I Am Big Bird, can be seen in theaters and streamed on cable VOD/iTunes.
