Friday’s “Sunny Side Up Show” , on PBS Sprout, will get a visit from Mario Lopez. Lopez’s voice will also be a regular on the television station when he becomes a voice behind a new character on “The Chica Show.” His character will be one of Chica’s friends, Sticthes. Chica is a puppet chick that appears along with four of the regular hosts on the “Sunny Side Up Show.” Her new show will be live action and animated. It will begin airing late thing year on Sprout.
Although young fans may not know Lopez, their parents will remember him from his years on “Save by the Bell” , a season on the reality show “Dancing with the Stars” and his current position as host of the television shows “Extra” and “America’s Best Dance Crew.”
