Sesame Place, a theme park in Pennsylvania, honors a school in the  area of  New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts each year with the Good Neighbor award.

Glenville School was selected for the award because of its Go-Getters program, created this school year. Principal Marc D’Amico said the program highlights the best character attributes students should have. Each month, students in all grades were given a different desirable attribute to emulate, such as sharing and cooperating, and were told to discuss it with their families and act it out in their lives. The students who best exemplify the trait are recognized by D’Amico at a ceremony at the end of the month.
