Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade entertainment includes many different decorative floats, and balloons. Once again Sesame Street joined in the celebration with a float entitled “1-2-3 Sesame Street.” Popular characters like Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird, and Oscar the Grouch. Flying up high in the sky was a character familiar to Sesame Street: Kermit the Frog. Kermit the Frog appeared often in the early years of Sesame Street. He gained popularity with some other Muppets in movies and television.
