Bullying is a hot topic recently, but it has always been an issue for children. This month is Bullying Prevention Month; Sesame Street is highlighting bullying to preschoolers in a way that they can understand. Big Bird becomes the target of a bully bird. Also Abby Cadabby and Elmo try to explain to children the difference between tattling and reporting- something that is important for children to know many different situations, not just bullying.
The special episode, “The Good Bird’s Club” airs on September 17th. Other episodes relating to bullying will also air next week.
