Sesame Street  has always had it share of stars over the years.  Musicians, athletes, political figures and actors have each had their fare share of time on Sesame Street teaching preschoolers early learning concepts in fun ways that parents and kids would enjoy.   These stars are better known to parents than they are to 4 years-olds and therefore serve a purpose of making Sesame Street more entertaining for parents as they watch alongside their preschooler.

In true Sesame Street fashion, this season will feature an exciting roster of celebrities and original parodies. Featured celebrities include: Academy Award-nominated actor, Jude Law; Golden Globe Award-winning actors Colin Farrell, Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman; Emmy Award-winning comedian Wanda Sykes; NFL superstars Reggie Bush and LaDainian Tomlinson; Grammy Award-winning artists Will.i.am, Usher and Michael McKean; pop star Katy Perry; American Idol’s Kara DioGuardi; Modern Family’s Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell; Grey’s Anatomy’s Ellen Pompeo; Parks & Recreation’s Amy Poehler; rap and TV star Rev Run; The Closer’s Kyra Sedgwick; Actors Ryan Reynolds, Rebecca Romijn, Zoe Saldana, Taye Diggs, Idina Menzel, Chris O’Donnell, Jim Parsons, Rachel Griffiths, Anna Faris, Terrence Howard; The View’s Sherri Shepherd; Today Show’s Natalie Morales; The Insider’s Samantha Harris; and Food Network star Alton Brown.

Along with stars, there will also be many segments on science which will be a continuation of Sesame Street’s 2 year science curriculum which began its implementation last season.   Super Grover 2.0, a brand new segment featuring Grover, will have an emphasis on science and technology.

When the newest season of Sesame Street premieres on September 27, 2010 we will continue to have our favorites like Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Bert and Ernie, Big Bird, Cookie Monster,Count von Count,Oscar the GrouchRosita , Telly Monster and Zoe.  Even with the many guest stars, they are stars that preschoolers tune in to see.
