United Healthcare had provided Sesame Street themed reading corners for medical offices in the Iowa area. For several years United Healthcare and Sesame Street have teamed up to provide health related messages to children and their families. You might remember that in 2011, United Healthcare began several different health related campaigns including: “Lead Away”, and “A is for Asthma” In this latest venture, 15 health centers in Iowa received Sesame Street theme chairs, tables, and books. These books teach about healthy habits and are meant to encourage reading with children. This a great bonus, because exposure to books encourages reading.
