Sesame Street’s “I Love My Hair” has become a viral hit across the internet. Listeners have been wondering who the voice behind the hit is. Turns out it is 13 year-old Chantylla Johnson. She recorded the song last year in New York. Chantylla mentioned that she had to make her voice sound a little younger to fit the Muppet character. “I Love My Hair” is not her Chantylla’s performace debut; her singing career includes being part of the original The Color Purple on Broadway and The Lion King on Broadway.
