First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden celebrated the pregnancy of 40 military women with a baby shower sponsored by Operation Shower. The event was held at Camp LeJeune in North Carolina. Also in attendance was the Godmother of homemaking herself, Martha Stewart. Stewart was there to teach scrapbooking. The large military baby shower was just one of many sponsored by Operation Shower since 2007.
“Operation Shower celebrates and honors military families,” says LeAnn Morrissey, Chief Shower Officer. “Thanks to our generous partners, we don’t just throw a party; we are leaving these moms-to-be with donated gifts totaling more than $1000 for each family.”
The moms-to-be are receiving gift boxes filled with baby supplies, clothing, toys, books and much more courtesy of the PGA TOUR, with support from Pottery Barn Kids, Carousel Designs, Care.com and many other generous donors.
