When choosing name many parents pick a name that have meaning to them.   Whether it is the direct meaning of the book or the symbolic meaning it has for mom and dad.  Mariah Carey an Nick Cannon are among the many celebrities that chose baby names that were unique, but held a symbolic meaning to them.

A name does not have to be unique to have meaning there are some traditional names that have a special place in parents’ hearts and they choose those name even if it the most popular name ever spoken.

You can check the popularity of your child’s name by doing a simple search the US Social Security Administration’s website.
