A little over a year after Sesame Street began in Pakistan, accusations of corruption has caused a halt in production of the show.  The United States, according to Forbes.com, has already provided $10 million in USAID money for the Pakistani version of the program(Sim Sim Hamara ) .   US funding helps to provides for Sesame Street programming in many places ,including the Palestinian Sesame Street (Sharaa Simsim)that had its production on hiatus after the US froze its funding.      It took some time before funding was resumed for the Palestinian version, no word on when or if Sim Sim Hamara will resume production.
