Sesame Street Co-Founder to Receive Special Award

Joan Ganz Cooney, co-founder of Sesame Street, will be receiving a special prize from The National Book Foundation. 

A special prize for outstanding service to the American literary community will be given to Joan Ganz Cooney, whose research on television and education helped inspire the beloved children’s program “Sesame Street.”
