PBS Kids released its free video app earlier this year. At the time the app was initially released it ran only on the iPad, now because of its huge success PBS Kids is now added compatibility for the iPhone and iPod. This is free app that is available for download at apple app store. Android users will have to wait a little longer for their version of the app to be release, but hopefully PBS Kids. Until then iPad, iPod, and iPhone users can take advantage of what this free app has to offer.
The app includes clips and full episodes from PBS KIDS series like THE CAT IN THE HAT KNOWS A LOT ABOUT THAT!, DINOSAUR TRAIN, CURIOUS GEORGE, SUPER WHY, SESAME STREET, WORDGIRL and WILD KRATTS.
The PBS KIDS Video App also features helpful tools for parents such as:
- Access to local PBS station TV schedules
- Additional information about TV series, including intended age and learning goals
- The ability to download related educational apps and TV episodes directly from the App Store and iTunes
- Marking series as “favorites”
- •Sharing videos via email, Facebook and Twitter
