Dora the Explorer television series has won several awards during its decade long run on Nickelodeon. Now the series is up for a 2010 Daytime Emmy for Best Original Song in Children’s or Animation for the song “Nochebuena”. “Nochebuena” was composed by Peter Lurye. Other nominations in the same category include: “Song About Elmo” from Sesame Street, “Come Home Perry” from Disney Phineas and Ferb, “The Fiddler Crab am I” from the Wonder Pets, and “It’s a p-h” from Between the Lions.
