In late 2011, “The Muppets”, was released into theaters and then received both box office and critical success. One award the movie received was an Oscar in the category of Best Original Song for “Man or Muppet.” Although the song had only one competitor, “Real in Rio” from “Rio”, it was a well deserved Oscar win. Now as a sequel for “The Muppets” will soon begin production, Bret McKenzie, the composer of “Man or Muppet”, has signed on to create music for the new soundtrack. According to NZ Newswire the filming for the next Muppets movie will be begin in early next year, sometime between January and April. With “The Muppets” earning worldwide box office sales of over $158 million, there is probably a lot of hope that the newest the movie will have the same, if not better, box office success.
